I really want to see this movie but I’m so tired of watching Final Destination movies. They are almost like Saw movies getting ridiculous and out of control. I don’t know how much more I can take of it. I have many of my co-workers from DISH that have seen the movie and loved it so I was just thinking to check out some reviews. So far I have run into some in between, some hate it, some love it. My co-workers tell me it wouldn’t hurt, since I have the Blockbuster Movie Pass. Do you know what that is? If now it is just a Pass that DISH came out it that allows you to get movies in the mail, stream on demands and have 20 additional movie channels free for new customers for up to a year. It is great especially if you don’t want to waste money on movies that you know you probably won’t enjoy like this one. I hope that I can really like Final Destination 5 if I do decide to rent it so wish me luck!

Sadly, I cannot declare this “not art” as I know I will be met with the modern mass rebuttal that “all is subjective and everything is art.” In my opinion this is not art, but with that mindset of the masses taken into account I will say this is very LOW art.

First off, I have had a brief conversation with the subject and just from that interaction I can assure that his IQ is no where near 170. That is ridiculous, and the person probably just pulled that number out of her “artistic ass.”

Second, the attempt at metaphor etc, in regards to the phallic… It is quite literal when taken into account the praise of IQ and accomplishments. In fact I would find an image of these “powerful” men, with really non impressive phallic to be more “edgy.” As it would say “These men with their small penis seek to compensate by accomplishing… and all the men with big dicks are too busy getting laid to create cheezy clothing and bad raps.

Lastly, the rather silly execution that harkens back to that of a child. And it says nothing of the man, for the man on many accounts is a bully and rude and of low character. Where is that? I see no art.

In conclusion, this is nothing more that a “artistic handjob” to men of power who this woman seems to want to praise. She should have enlarged their other heads and put herself in the painting trying to blow their very small “winkies” if she wanted to be more accurate in mirroring life.

I loved this interview with Rashaan. I been a fan since Star Search and Kids Incorp.. I was glad that he talked about his sexuality which is something that should never outshine the talent. Regardless of if you gay or straight it shouldn’t be the issue but it always is. It’s funny because with white female artist like K.D. Lang, Melissa Ethridge and even The Indigo Girls everyone knew who they were but somehow that was always secondary. Now with male artist White or Black male it’s a problem if they are out and gay when it comes down to mainstream. George Michael and Ricky Martin should have stayed in the closet is the attitude that many have. Michael Stipe from REM came out first as bisexual and that was received with some jeers and sneers, later he just came out as gay and I saw how all the people that loved REM would retract how they felt about the group because of his admission. The business of show is normally a hot mess but I never knew how much. It’s crazy how many media outlets and just someone misquoting someone can really mess up things up for you. I think Rashaan was getting this rap for being ashamed of who he was and I knew that wasn’t the case. I remember when Rashaan worked with Tevin Campbell another incredible talent who has been overlooked in the entire mainstream market after a bit of scandal came out. Mind you, I Tevin has been working but still his voice and talent was overshadowed because of scandal or hearsay. Rashaan and Tevin have and had the same abilities vocally as say a Trey Songz, Chris Brown and even Usher but still have never been received like those artist. Rashaan voice is sick and he is an incredible talent from the gate. I just had to talk about Rashaan and how amazing I always thought and know he is.
This is my first time catching your blog and I’m such a fan and I’m going to be listening for your radio broadcast as well. I remember Mr. Rob Thomas from Afterelton.com and his video blog The Mocha Lounge. Please tell Rob that Curtis said “HI”.
