What is the Future of Diversity in the Media, Arts, Education, Cities, Economy, Immigration and Activism? Find out at the university-wide event during MLK Week at NYU, featuring 7 leaders from various areas speaking for 7 minutes on 7 topic areas surrounding this year’s theme, The Future of Diversity: Here & Now. Confirmed speakers include Dr. Cornel West, Princeton University Professor, philosopher and influential intellectual, who will address the issue of activism; and Dr. Mitchell L. Moss, Director of the Rudin Center for Transportation and Henry Hart Rice Professor of Urban Policy and Planning at NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, who will speak about the issue of cities.

Why he isn’t on Project Runway All-Stars this year: “I choose to pass on it, I was asked and I can say I was begged to do it.”

Why he loves Heidi Klum, revealing she was the only Project Runway judge to talk to him off camera — saying Michael Kors and Nina Garcia “are kind of like up their — you-know-what. As far as talking to me and showing me any love after the fact.”

Also, Mike Ruiz joined us last night.  The celebrity photographer discussed GMHC’s HIV testing and prevention campaign, “Kiss & Tell,” which is tomorrow, January 21 — Mike will be donating his time to take photos.  The campaign encourages black and Latino young men who have sex with men (YMSM) to have open discussions with partners about their sexual history and HIV status.  In addition, Ruiz opens up about leaving Logo’s The A-List, the impact the show had on his career and more.  Click the red button below to listen!

Who knew Rosie Perez was supposed to play her character in Set It Off?

Faye Dunaway was a diva, which is no shocker, on the set of The Starlet.

Plus, Viv gives us a peak into the trials of being a black actress in Hollywood and surviving.

After the interview, Vivica asked me for a hug and was incredibly gracious.  In addition, she happily took pictures with all of the LGBT teens who bombarded her in the lobby.  I’ve interviewed many people over the years, but Vivica Fox is one person I will always remember.

Al Sharpton radio program.  Celebrate the new year this Thursday with Clay Cane and his co-host, writer and actress J’Nara Corbin, for their first show of 2012 — Emmy winner and television legend Jackée Harry will be the guest.  The following week, Jackée’s ex-husband and star of Beverly Hills Fabulous, Elgin Charles, will be a guest.
