January 4, 2011 - Clay Cane Live, hosted by journalist and television personality Clay Cane, debuted on WWRL 1600AM via Equality Pride Radio on November 3rd, 2011.  With sharp commentary and consistent laughs on everything from pop culture to politics, the show has created a buzz on the airwaves.  Guests have included: Jennifer Holliday, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Rahsaan Patterson, Lalah Hathaway, Cynthia Bailey from Real Housewives of Atlanta and others.

For the first two Thursdays in January, Clay Cane Live will gain an extra hour, airing from 10pm to midnight, immediately following the Rev. Al Sharpton radio program.  Celebrate the new year this Thursday with Clay Cane and his co-host, writer and actress J’Nara Corbin, for their first show of 2012 — Emmy winner and television legend Jackée Harry will be the guest.  The following week, Jackée’s ex-husband and star of Beverly Hills Fabulous, Elgin Charles, will be a guest.

Happy New Year!  I’m wishing everyone all of the blessings in the universe in 2012.  A big thank you to everyone who has listened, supported, Tweeted, called or spread the word about Clay Cane Live on WWRL 1600AM via Equality Pride Radio every Thursday night.  Since the show debuted on November 3rd, I’ve had amazing guests like Jennifer Holliday, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Rahsaan Patterson, Lalah Hathaway, Jared and Tenisha from Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys, Cynthia Bailey from Real Housewives of Atlanta and more.

Last night on WWRL’s Clay Cane Live, R&B singer Rahsaan Patterson discussed his latest album Bleuphoria, which features Lalah Hathaway, Faith Evans, Shanice and Jody Watley. In addition, his cleared up the controversial ’07 comments where he reportedly said the reason why he is gay is because he was sexually abused.  Patterson also explained his being gay is a “choice” statement.

I also talked with the director of the new film Pariah, Dee Rees, which opens in New York on December 28th.  This the film is a must-see, starring Kim Wayans and Adepero Oduye.
