BMW is gearing up to breathe new life into the 6-series lineup!

BMW is gearing up to breathe new life into the 6-series lineup, positioning it as a successor to the 8-series range while phasing out the XM crossover. The refreshed 6-series will feature a diverse array of body styles including coupes and convertibles, powered by a mix of petrol, hybrid, and electric engines. Fans will have to wait until 2026 to see these new models hit the streets.

According to the latest details, the 6-series coupes and convertibles are set to take over the roles currently filled by their counterparts in the 8-series lineup. This move aligns with BMW’s long-standing plans to streamline the 8-series range, which will now focus solely on the four-door Gran Coupe model.

Meanwhile, the XM crossover, which made its debut in 2022, will not see further development and is slated for production end in 2028. Notably, there are no plans to introduce an all-electric version of the XM crossover. This strategic shift underscores BMW’s commitment to evolving its portfolio in line with market trends and consumer preferences.
