Chrysler's sales in the Russian market fell to zero in March

According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), last month the American company Chrysler did not sell a single car on the Russian market.

This means that the year-on-year drop in sales was exactly 100 percent. Let us recall that in March 2015 the company sold 5 cars in Russia.

According to the analytical agency Avtostat Info, the company sold 6 cars in the period from January to February. Last year, this figure was recorded at 9 units.

And for the entire first quarter of 2016, sales volume was 8 cars, which is 9 cars less than the results of the same period last year.

Let us recall that another member of the FCA concern, the Italian company Fiat, is also rapidly falling. In March, the sales volume of this brand was 37 cars (-78.6%), and for three months – 71 cars.

The Dodge company, which is also part of FCA, left the Russian car market back in August 2014 with a promise to return after the economic situation in the country stabilized.

The best sales figures in March were demonstrated by the Jeep brand. In March, sales of the legendary SUVs in Russia amounted to 123 cars, which is 61.6% lower than last year's figures, and for the first quarter – 346 cars, which is 54.5% lower than the results of the same period in 2015.

At the same time, the best sales dynamics were recorded by the Italian manufacturer of premium cars – Alfa Romeo. In March, the sales volume of these cars increased by 350%, from 2 to 9 units, and in three months – by 250%, from 6 to 15 units.
