It became known that Toyota announced in China a recall of 570,000 of its cars that were produced between 2018 and 2023. Such cars may also be located on the territory of the Russian Federation

In particular, we are talking about the Corolla model, which was produced by the FAW-Toyota joint venture from 2019 to 2023. In total, there are 350,021 such cars. Highlander in the amount of 157,458 units, which was produced by GAC-Toyota from 2018 to 2022. And the latest model is the Lexus RX, produced at Toyota Motor's own facilities in China. From 2018 to 2022 The RX was produced in quantities of 68,434 units.

All of these cars faced the problem of fuel pump failure. Under high loads, cracks can form, which can lead not only to rapid wear, but also to fuel leakage and, accordingly, the risk of fire. In addition, the authorities are concerned about the release of fuel fumes into the atmosphere.

The above-mentioned enterprises will diagnose and replace the necessary parts. The companies warn drivers who have not yet taken their vehicles to service centers not to park near possible sources of fire, and to immediately stop driving if they feel or notice a fuel leak.
