Since its appearance on the market, the car has gained immense popularity in Europe due to its low price. For example, in Germany this model could be purchased for 14,555 euros (at the current exchange rate – 1,558,000 rubles). Last time Volkswagen up! was updated in 2019, but only in the form of an e-up electric car! Its cost was significantly higher than the gasoline version and started on average at 26,000 euros (2,780,000 rubles) depending on the country. And yet e-up! was the most affordable car of all the company's electric models.

According to the latest estimates from the JATO Dynamics agency, sales of the model for 9 months of 2023 amounted to 23,007 units. This is 18% less compared to the same period last year. Based on the plans of the company, the direct successor to Volkswagen up! will not be. Now the most affordable model of the German brand has become the Volkswagen Polo in the basic configuration, which in Europe is priced at 21,590 euros (2,311,000 rubles).
